unlocking potential

The Firs was once a gentile small Georgian house positioned at the edge of the South Devon village of North Whilborough. It had been rather badly treated over the years and when our client purchased the property it had an ugly two storey flat roof extension across the entire rear elevation. Narracotts were appointed to produce designs to extend and alter the house to disguise the ugly later additions and to turn the house into a sparkling contemporary dwelling whilst maintaining its polite appearance of the front elevation facing onto the road which passes through the village. With the unique red limestone tiles specially imported from South Africa and the staircase constructed almost entirely from glass give this property a particular unique character.
